Dorlis Walser, daughter of the late John William and Allie Jane (Wilhite) Lawson, was born on May 4, 1925 in Rayborn, Missouri, and departed this life on March 20, 2011 in the St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri, at 85 years of age.
Dorlis grew up and attended school in Mtn. Grove and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Mark Walser. They made their home in the Mtn. Grove area for many years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Walser; one brother: Lee Parlier; and by four brothers-in-law: Carl Swager, Otis Meade, Tommy Walser, and Truel Boyer.
She is survived by four sisters: Nita Boyer and Freeda Meade, both of Missouri, and Lillian Swager and Alcie Walser, both of California; many beloved nieces and nephews; dear friends and neighbors.
Dorlis wished not to have a visitation or memorial service. She was cremated and arrangements were under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
