Doris Ruth (Fletcher) Moore, 86, of Edwardsville, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013. She was born on August 31, 1927 in Norwood, Missouri, to Albert Edford and Ethel Mary (Thornhill) Fletcher.
She had made her home in Edwardsville, Kansas since 1968.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Lloyd Moore. Three children blessed this union.
Doris was a very talented seamstress and cook. Everyone enjoyed visiting and eating in her home. She was very active in church and at the time of her passing, she was a member of the Prairie Meadows Free Will Baptist Church in Olathe, Kansas.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Larry Moore in 2003; and by a brother: Frank Fletcher in 2005.
Doris is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years: Lloyd Moore, of their home; one son: Duane Moore and his wife, Rose, of Blue Springs, Missouri; one daughter: Janet Warden and her husband, Tony, of Bonner Springs, Kansas; a daughter-in-law: Donna Moore of Edwardsville, Kansas; one brother: Bill Fletcher of Clovis, California; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; extended family in Missouri and a host of other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
