Doris Mae (Harris) Landreth

Doris Mae Landreth, daughter of the late Earl L. and Mary Evelyn (Ozman) Harris, was born on November 22, 1926 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri and passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 in the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at 86 years of age.
Doris grew up and attended school in Wright County, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Glen Nelson Landreth on July 27, 1943 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. Five children were born to this union.
She was baptized on March 15, 1959 at the Willow Springs Free Will Baptist Church near Mtn. Grove by Brother Leland Horton.
Doris was employed for Brown Shoe Company in Mtn. Grove for twenty-nine years and later worked for the Mtn. Grove Nursing Home until her retirement.
She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed cooking her yum-yum cinnamon rolls, sewing, taking care of her family and visiting with those around her. Her daily activities included looking over her children’s senior photos and other family pictures, and asking the Lord to bless each one. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Glen Landreth in 2002.
She is survived by her five children: Sharon Zimmerle and her husband, Larry, of Kansas City, Missouri, and their three children, Brandy, Elizabeth, and Jennifer; Diane Hutsell of Mtn. Grove and her three children: Michael, Michele, and Marianne; Danny Landreth and his wife, Robin, of Mtn. Grove and his two children: Scott and Angela; Dean Landreth of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and his three children: Greg, Vanessa, and Kim; and David Landreth and his wife, Cheryl, of Belton, Missouri and their two children: Jennifer and Stephen; twenty-four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Lorna Morrison of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother: Earl L. Harris, Jr., of Council Bluffs, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
