Doris I. Wells

Doris I. Wells, daughter of the late Nils and Hilma Hagberg, was born March 9, 1927 in Manhattan, New York and departed this life on December 29, 2008 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri. She was 81 years 9 months and 20 days of age.
Doris grew up in Long Branch, New Jersey. She raised three children: Eric, Clifton, and Cheryle. Doris was a hard worker and a dedicated mother. In her later years, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, listening to music, and watching old movies. Some of her favorite entertainers included Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. She also greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Doris moved to Mountain Grove in 2002. At the time of her passing she was living in the Ridgecrest Apartments and had made many friends there and at the Senior Center.
Besides her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryle Levy.
She is survived by two sons: Eric B. Wells and his wife, Laura, of Mountain Grove, and Clifton G. Wells, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Bayville, New Jersey; five grandchildren: Clifton, Christopher, and Eric C. Wells, and Molly and Jennifer Levy; and many other friends who will sadly miss her.
Mrs. Wells was cremated and private burial was on January 5, 2008 in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
