Donna Sue Wright

Donna Sue Wright, daughter of the late Lloyd Edward and Dorothy Mae (Parker) Hicks, was born May 13, 1948, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and departed this life January 6, 2018, at Cox South Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri, following a short illness. She was 69 years, 7 months, and 24 days of age.

Donna grew up and attended school in Mountain Grove. She was married to the love of her life, Alphie Wright. She was a great cook and made a career of it working at numerous businesses and owning her own restaurant, “Donna’s Kitchen”, for a period of time. She loved cooking for everyone and liked being in charge.

Donna had several joys in life that included collecting and reading cookbooks, watching wrestling, and gambling. Her greatest joy was watching her grandkids play ball. She was known to be brutally honest but secretly caring. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Alphie Wright.

Donna is survived by one son, Shane Coffman and wife, Chris, of Mountain Grove, one daughter, Tammy Cantrell of Mountain Grove, five grandchildren, Brock Coffman, Cade Coffman, Seth Bradshaw, Amber Bradshaw, and Jennifer Bradshaw, two great-grandchildren, Paige Moore and Peyton Bradshaw, one brother, Lloyd Edward Hicks of Mountain Grove, one sister, Kaye Stinson of Olathe, Kansas, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
