Donna was known for her caring and giving spirit. Her generosity was evident by the many instances where neighborhood kids could be found in her home enjoying her famous Kool-aid while playing outside with her sons. Her cooking was legendary, even earning her a spot on the front page of the Houston newspaper for the Thanksgiving meal she prepared. Her family will definitely miss Memaw’s cooking, especially her banana bread and biscuits and gravy. In her spare time, she enjoyed trips to the casino with her friends, Sharon, Sue, and Erma. She was known affectionately as a modern day Picasso. A painting or craft of hers can be found hanging in the homes of many of Donna’s family and friends. She never missed an opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at a local sports event. Her world revolved around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren of whom she was very proud.
Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will always cherish the many memories spent together.
