Donna Lee Jeffers

Donna Lee Jeffers, daughter of the late Guy Fredrick and Frances (Feek) Gilbert, was born on September 7, 1940 in Sabetha, Kansas and departed this life on Friday, March 5, 2010 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. She was 69 years, 5 months and 28 days of age.
Donna grew up and attended school in Kansas. She was loved and cared for by her mother and grandmother while growing up. She was united in marriage to Jack Jeffers on November 19, 1998 in Leavenworth, Kansas. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially when fishing, and taking care of farm duties and tending to her animals.
She was a kind and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She never met a stranger and will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Jack Jeffers on July 28, 1998; and by her daughter: Linda Smith on March 14, 1998.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Tommy and Heather Jeffers of Mtn. Grove; two brothers: Robert Gilbert of Warsaw, Missouri, and Albert “Smokie” Gilbert of Mtn. Grove; three sisters: Linda Parsons of Mtn. Grove, Wanda Howard and Dianna Raybern, both of Lawrence, Kansas; four grandchildren: Matthew Smith, Brittany Smith, Justin Jeffers, and Abbigail Jeffers; one great-grandchild: M.J. Mooneyham; several nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Tuesday, March 9th, 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
Monday, March 8th, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
