Donald Jensen

Donald Jensen, son of the late Kenneth T. and Lillian (Stange) Jensen, was born July 29, 1940, in Oakland, Iowa, and passed away January 26, 2023, at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri, with family by his side. He was 82 years of age.

When Donald was young, his family moved to Missouri. Donald graduated from Mountain Grove High School with the class of 1958. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1965. Donald went to work for the United States Postal service as a mail carrier and retired after working more than 30 years.

Donald married Joy Canada on June 28, 1994, in Miami, Oklahoma. Donald and Joy enjoyed going to flea markets, traveling and going on road trips, and spending time with their children and grandchildren. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved to golf and fish. Donald enjoyed attending Dawson Assembly of God Church as long as his health permitted.

Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelly Williams, and by one sister, Maryann Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Jensen, three daughters, Lori Rolfe and her husband, Shon, of Pilot Point, Texas, Pam Carlson and her husband, Sam, of Buffalo, Iowa, and Lori Mahurin and her husband, Dannie, of Norwood, Missouri, one step-son-in-law, Eddie Williams, one brother, Kenneth Jensen and his wife, Mary, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives, friends, and church family who will dearly miss him.
