Dixie Moore

February 2, 1946 — November 28, 2023

Dixie Pearl (Volner) Moore, daughter of the late Orval and Martha (Skaggs) Volner was born on February 2, 1946, in Atchison County, Missouri. She departed this life and went to heaven to be with them, on November 28, 2023, as she was surrounded by her family at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 77 years, 9 months and 26 days of age.

On February 10, 1983, Dixie was united in marriage to Ronald Moore

In life, Dixie enjoyed many things. She was well known for her baking skills and her pineapple upside down cake was a special treat. She enjoyed traveling and one of her favorite destinations was Florida, where she could enjoy the beaches and the salt air, as well as warmer temperatures at this time of year. She just enjoyed life and seeing the countryside, by taking drives around the area whenever she could. Dixie was very active, and she enjoyed getting out and taking part in the world around her. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she enjoyed every part of it. She had other favorite pastimes and enjoyed sitting on her porch swing and playing on her phone. The activity she loved the most was getting to spend time with her children and entire extended family as well as her friends. She would make big meals just to have everyone over at the house with her, as she truly loved people.

Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Moore, three daughters, Brenda, Becky and Lisa, five brothers, Homer, Bulas, Elmer, Ray and Benny as well as her three sisters Susie, Darlene and Freda Bell.

Dixie is survived by her four sons, Bobby Lee Price, Ricky (Patty) Price, Trevor Parsons, Steven (Christina) Parsons, three daughters, Crystal (Brad) Moore, Bonnie (Dave) Cochran, Kristy (Kenny) Bibens, two brothers, Lee, and Ulas, four sisters, Phyllis, Shirley, Linda, and Ethel, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other family and friends that will miss her very much.
