Dixie Jane (Forbes) Hutchinson

May 20, 1940 — June 14, 2014

Dixie Jane Hutchinson, youngest of ten children, was born to William Burley and Gladys (Campbell) Forbes on May 20, 1940 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and passed away on June 14, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, after complications due to Kidney Disease. She was 74 years of age.
Dixie grew up and attended school in Mtn. Grove and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in 1958. She was united in marriage to Bill Hutchinson in Mtn. Grove in 1959. Two daughters, Kimberly Jo and Kathy Sue, were born to this union.
The family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1962. Dixie was employed as a Production Supervisor for Motorola in Phoenix, and retired in 2000. She then moved back to the Mtn. Grove area with her loving companion, Jim OHarra, in 2003 to be closer to her brothers and sisters.
Dixie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Dixie enjoyed going to sales, auctions, and shopping for her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and she also loved to travel.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her oldest brother: Francis Forbes; and by one sister: Mary Worrel.
She is survived by her daughters: Kimberly Jo Moreno and her husband, Lou, of Lees Summit, Missouri, and Kathy Sue Johnson and her husband, Don, of Lahaina Maui, Hawaii; three grandchildren: Billy Moreno, Zachary Johnson and Addison Johnson; four brothers: Ted Forbes and his wife, Pauline, John Forbes and his wife, Barbara, Robert Forbes and Clyde Forbes; three sisters: Zetta Mae Troutman, Jean Brewer, and Joann Webb; her loving companion: Jim OHarra of Mtn. Grove; his son: Daniel OHarra and his wife, Cathy, of Weatherford, Texas; his two daughters: Jamie OHarra of Mesa Arizona and Shannon Domigo of Phoenix, Arizona; Jims grandchildren: Meleyna, Brendan, Brittany, Connor, Dani, Jake, and Shane; Jims great-grandchildren: Parker and Leila; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
