Dixie Blevins

Dixie Dee Blevins, daughter of Amos and Iva (Emmerson) Curtis was born March 23, 1936, in Twin Falls, Idaho, and departed this life January 6, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 86 years, 9 months, and 13 days.

On July 23, 1953, she was united in marriage to Harley Blevins and to this union a son was born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Harley.

Dixie is survived by her son, Stacy, daughter-in-law, Mary, and granddaughter, Zoe, all of Wisconsin.

She was born in Idaho and soon after, her family moved to the Hartville area in Wright County, Missouri, where she graduated from Hartville High School. After she and Harley were married, they lived in St. Louis and Kansas City before moving to Springfield, Missouri where they lived the rest of their lives.

Dixie worked at several jobs, including the International Grapho-Analysis Society and the Paul Mueller Company, before becoming a homemaker upon the birth of her only child.

In her spare time, she loved reading, cooking, and genealogy and enjoyed camping in her younger years.

Dixie was a loving mother, grandmother, and a caring neighbor and friend. We have many fond memories of our times together that we will always cherish.
