Diane Evelyn (Knopf) ThrasherMountain Grove, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in Orange Beach, Alabama. She was born April 16, 1940, in Bakersfield, California
She married Homer Thrasher on June 19, 1959, and to this union two sons were born, Stephen Michael Thrasher of Springfield, Missouri, and Patrick Shaun Thrasher, who preceded her in death. She was also a grandparent to Abigail Whittier. She leaves at her passing family and friends who dearly loved her.
Her most important jobs were as wife and mother. She also worked at various times as a travel agent, telephone operator and receptionist. After moving to Missouri in 2000, Diane became a volunteer at Dickerson Park Zoo, American Red Cross, and as an EMT/first responder. She loved her flowers and enjoyed gardening. Using a natural gift for design and designer rubber stamps, friends and family were the recipients of the 25-30 cards she made and sent out each month.
Diane was saved at an early age. At the time of her passing she was a member of Pleasant Home Freewill Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women’s Auxiliary.
