Dennis Ray Glenn

May 30, 1950 — December 7, 2021

Dennis Ray Glenn, son of the late Floyd and Laura (Cole) Glenn, was born May 30, 1950, in Marshfield, Missouri, and passed away December 7, 2021, at his residence in Seymour, Missouri. He was 71 years, 6 months, and 8 days of age.

Dennis grew up on a dairy farm north of Seymour, Missouri. He attended Seymour schools and graduated from Seymour High School in 1968. He joined the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam war.

On December 20, 1976, Dennis was united in marriage to Juanita Wright, in Marshfield, Missouri. They had a special relationship. Their motto was “we lived hard, but we loved even harder”. Before Dennis took his last breath, Juanita says he “kissed his way into heaven” by giving her a kiss and saying that he loved her more.

Dennis was an over the road truck driver and retired after forty years of driving. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and spending time with his best friend, Steve McFarland. But his greatest joy in life was being “Pappaw” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Everyone that knew Dennis loved him. He was a gentle soul and never raised his voice to anyone. Although, he was quite the prankster and loved to play practical jokes. Many people have said, when they made Dennis, they broke the mold. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed.

Besides his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by one brother, Daryl Glenn.

He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Glenn, of the home in Seymour, Missouri, one son, Dennis F. Glenn and his wife, Melissa, of Westminster, Maryland, one daughter, Kristina Glenn Carlton, and her husband, David “Henry”, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, one brother, Dewayne Glenn of Seymour, one sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Liz” Glenn of Marshfield, Missouri, five grandchildren, Arielle, Tiffany, Ali, Anna, and Tori, eight great-grandchildren, a nephew, Shane Glenn of Marshfield, a special niece, Jennifer Glenn of Fordland, Missouri, two close personal family friends, Steve McFarland and Alicia Hagen, both of Seymour, and many other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
