Deloris Faye Rook

Deloris Faye Rook, daughter of the late Orville and Etta (Barthalow) Hoffarth, was born on January 10, 1924 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri and departed this life on June 9, 2010 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, following a six month illness. She was 86 years and 5 months of age.
Deloris grew up and attended school in Mtn. Grove and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School. She retired from Brown Shoe Company in Mtn. Grove and enjoyed playing on their softball team.
She loved being outdoors, especially when tending to her garden and doing yard work.
She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. She loved her grandsons very much and enjoyed visiting with them and her many friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers.
Deloris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Ben and Dona Rook of Valrico, Florida; her sister: Orleana Walker of Mtn. Grove; three grandsons: Vincent Rook and his wife, Raeann, of Kansas City, Missouri, Virgil Rook and his wife, Carrie, of Orlando, Florida and Victor Rook of Valrico, Florida; six great-grandchildren: Morgan, Parker, Harrison, Caroline, Benjamin, Owen; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.


Funeral Services:
Monday, June 14, 2010 at 10:00am in the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation:
Monday, 9:00-10:00AM before the service in the chapel.
