Delores Fay Turner

Delores Fay Turner, daughter of the late Charles and Beulah (Nail) Odle, was born March 15, 1930 in Fowler, Missouri and passed away March 13, 2008 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove at 77 years of age.
Delores grew up in the Fowler Community and graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1948. She later married Al Turner and together they raised one daughter.
Delores greatly enjoyed working on the Alumni Park Board and helping plan class reunions. She also enjoyed working with flowers and going fishing when she was able.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister: Maxine Peterson.
Delores is survived by her daughter: Michelle Collins of Norwood, Missouri; one nephew: Charles Peterson of Plato, Missouri; two nieces: Donna Blackwell of Mountain Grove and Carol Inman of Shawnee, Kansas; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other family and friends.
Funeral services for Delores Turner were held Saturday, March 15, 2008, 2:00 Pm in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev. Gary Hurley officiating. Ray Bradley accompanied by Rhonda Hurtt sang “Amazing Grace,” and “Old Rugged Cross.” Pallbearers were Matt Blackwell, Jason Vandiver, Ethan Smith, Casy Smith, Curtis Smith, and John Inman. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
