Delmer Lee Smith

Delmer Lee Smith, son of the late Noble Leolen and Maudie (Middleton) Smith, was born on July 10, 1941 in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life on September 24, 2009 at the Springfield Rehabilitation Health Care Center in Springfield, Missouri at 68 years of age.
Delmer was raised in Wright County and graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1959. He married LaDonna Stout and one son, David, was born to this union. Delmer worked at Conway Winters Shoe Factory in Willow Springs, Missouri for several years. He also worked as a mechanic and electrician for many years and spent some time doing farm work.
Delmer enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He bowled on several leagues throughout the years. He also enjoyed working in his garden and canning his produce.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: David and Holli Smith, of Nixa, Missouri; four sisters: Barbara Archer of Bloomington, California, Audrey Sandoval of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Venetta Carol Moroski and Iretta L. Finnerin, both of St. Louis, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
