David Douglas Affholder, son of the late Richard and Louise (Larson) Affholder, was born on March 28, 1961 in Madison, Wisconsin, and departed this life on September 26, 2016 at his home in Macomb, Missouri. David was 55 years, 5 months, and 29 days of age.
David grew up in McFarland, Wisconsin, and graduated from McFarland High School. During his sophomore and junior years in high school, he milked cows for a local farm. He also helped on his familys farm, raising tobacco. David attended college, taking agricultural classes, and also completed an elevator apprentice program.
He moved to Mountain Grove in the late 1980s and worked on the Harker farm. David worked for the Schindler Elevator Company and retired after working for them for more than thirty years.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to truck pulls when he was younger. He loved farming, mowing the grass, and spending time outdoors.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Louise Affholder, and by a son, Cody.
He is survived by one son: Kaleb Affholder and his wife, Jessica, of Macomb, Missouri; one daughter: Kristin Gray and her husband, Jamon, of Norwood, Missouri; four grandchildren: Kadin and Myles Affholder, and Hailey and Addy Gray; a close uncle and friend: Tom Guelzow of Wisconsin; and other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will greatly miss him.
