David Bruce Hyde was born on May 30, 1960, in Augsburg, Germany, to the late Helen June Nimmo Hyde and Randal Eldon Hyde. He departed this life on October 5, 2015, at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 55 years, 4 months, and 5 days of age.
David was a member of the Houston High School class of 1979, in Houston, Missouri. He joined the Army after high school and served his country for 5 months, but was unable to continue his service due to complications from asthma. He received an Honorable Discharge and upon his return home he went right to work. He loved the carpentry trade and working with his hands.
David made several lifelong friends from high school and enjoyed seeing them anytime he could. He was an avid fisherman and would seek out the many honey holes around his home. He was a collector of guns and knives and loved the spirit of a good trade. He learned many lessons from his Dad in that regard, and took over the family phrase of Ill tell ya what Im gonna do.
His smile was infectious and he was a gentle soul with a big heart. David accepted the Lord as his Savior at a Promise Keepers event and loved God and his country deeply.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his two sisters: Loretta Craft and her husband, Paul, of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Dianna Skyles and her husband, David, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; his brother Ronnie Hyde and his wife, Terri, of Marshfield, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service: Thursday, October 8, 2015, at 2:30 PM at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.
Burial: Hillcrest Cemetery
