Darlene Brown, daughter of the late Sanford and Dollie (Driskell) Tetrick, was born on June 8, 1948, in Dora, Missouri and departed this life on June 20, 2010, at her home in Mtn. Grove, Missouri following a short battle with cancer. She was 62 years and 12 days of age.
Darlene grew up and attended school in the Dora community. She was graduated from Dora High School in 1966. She was employed with the Brown Shoe Company for over 25 years. This is where she met the love of her life, Robert Brown. They were united in marriage on June 2, 1967. One daughter was born to this union.
Darlene was well known for her personality. She was a very outgoing and loving person who never seemed to meet a stranger. She always wore a smile and was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She enjoyed participating in fundraisers and especially cared for the Relay For Life and St. Jude’s.
Darlene was saved and baptized at an early age and remained faithful to the end. She enjoyed working in her church, whether decorating or helping with the children. She attended Blackjack Church for many years and was attending the Church of Christ at the time of her passing.
Besides her parents, Darlene was preceded by two brothers: Donald and Eugene Tetrick; and a sister: Wilma Jean Tetrick.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Robert Brown; her daughter: Connie Brown; two brothers: Henry Tetrick and wife, Phyllis and Jerry Tetrick and wife, Cheryl; numerous other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Wednesday, June 23rd, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
