Curtis Wayne Ledford, son of the late Walter and Zuma (Page) Ledford, was born on February 16, 1935 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, and went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 17, 2016 at the age of 81.
Curtis served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956. Most of his service was spent in the Korean War.
He raised his daughters and farmed south of Mountain Grove, Missouri, for many years. During that time he also worked for the Mountain Grove Water Department and served on the Fire Department.
Later, Curtis moved to California where he worked and then retired as a semi-trailer mechanic. After retiring, he returned to Missouri.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife: Evelyn (Kelley) Ledford; his three daughters: Vivian Eitner of Marshfield, Missouri, Mattie Dooley and her husband, Larry, of Stoutsville, Missouri, and Delisa Sanders and her husband, Leonard, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a brother: Dale Ledford of Ponca City, Oklahoma; a sister: Laverne Ledford of Salem, Oregon; and other family and friends who will greatly miss him.
No services are planned and Mr. Ledford has been cremated in respect of his final wishes.
