Craig Eugene Hogan

September 1, 1961 — October 21, 2017

Craig Eugene Hogan was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, on September 1, 1961, to Bobby and Betty (Odom) Hogan. He passed away on October 21, 2017, at Evelyn’s House Hospice in St. Louis, Missouri, after a six month battle with leukemia. He was 56 years, 1 month, and 20 days of age.

Craig grew up and attended school in Pocahontas, Arkansas, graduating in 1979. After graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country for three years in active duty, and three years in the reserves. He was awarded with the Rifle Marksman Badge and Good Conduct Medal during his service. He worked for many years as a foreman with Brown Shoe Company, and worked in many of their different locations. In 1997, he went to work at Dairy Farmers of America, and he was working as a canning supervisor at the time of his passing. In recent years, he also tore down old barns to sell the barn wood and the tin. Craig was united in marriage to Martha Mae (Miller) Hull on September 22, 2017, in Houston, Missouri.

Craig grew up going to Norfork Lake, and he has always loved water skiing, tubing, and anything else he could do on the water. He loved to hunt and fish, he enjoyed bowling, and he especially loved his three dogs. Craig loved sports, and he played football and basketball when he was in school, and he also enjoyed playing softball as an adult. He was a very avid sports fan, and he had a man cave with multiple TVs set up for watching ball games. On Sundays, many friends would meet at his house to watch football games together.

Craig had a very outgoing personality, and he never met a stranger. He never had anything negative to say about anyone, and you wouldn’t ever hear anyone say anything bad about him either. He had an infectious personality, and always had a smile!

Craig was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Hogan.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Mae Hogan, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, his son, Nick Hogan of Nixa, Missouri, his daughter, Tiara (Hogan) Wood and her husband, Todd, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, one step-son, Adam Watson and his wife, Sarah, of Brownsville, Texas, one step-daughter, Ashley (Stogden) Lakey and her husband, Justin, of Ava, Missouri, five grandchildren, Fisher, Jaylin, Susanna, Tucker, and one granddaughter on the way, his mother, Betty Fields and her husband, Glen, of Myrtle, Missouri, his brother, Keith Hogan and his wife, Debbie, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, his sister, Kathy Rinchuso and her husband, Raymond, of Maumelle, Arkansas, and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him.
