Clois Earl Cook

Clois Earl Cook, son of the late Clyde and Eva (Wade) Cook, was born on October 6, 1932 in Lynchburg, Missouri, and departed this life on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home in Plato, Missouri. He was 81 years, 3 months, and 16 days of age.
He was born and raised in the Lynchburg area and attended the Sycamore one room school and later attended Plato High School.
Clois served in the United States Army between 1952 and 1954. He was united in marriage to Eula Faye Koehler on January 21, 1955. One son, Bob, was born to this union.
Shortly after he and Eula were married, they made their home on a beef farm in the Plato area. Besides being a beef farmer, Clois worked in road construction for thirty-two years.
He liked being outdoors. His favorite activities were, doing heavy equipment work, taking care of his farm and cattle, and spending time with his family. In his later years, he enjoyed fishing and going to the lake. He liked to catch catfish and crappie, and spend time with friends that he and Eula Faye made at the lake.
Clois was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Clois made his profession of faith in Christ when he was fourteen years of age. He was a longtime member of the Roby Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Harold Cook.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years: Eula Faye Cook, of their home; his son: Bob Cook and his wife, Connie, of Plato, Missouri; one grandson: Jason Cook and his wife, Alesha; one granddaughter: Brittany Cook; two great-grandchildren: Devin and Chloe Cook; four brothers: Leland Cook of Bolivar, Missouri, Leonard Cook and his wife, Phyllis, of Lynchburg, Missouri, Wayne Cook and his wife, Gay, of Plato, Missouri, and James Cook and his wife, Pat, of Lebanon, Missouri; one sister: Ruth Randolph and her husband, Randy, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service:
Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.

Visitation:
Saturday, January 25th from 12:30 to 2:00 PM, before the service, at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.

Memorial Contributions:
American Heart Association in c/o the funeral home.
