Clinton J. Ward

Clinton J. Ward, son of the late Clinton Newell and Daisy Loretta (Delcour) Ward, was born on June 5, 1943, in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life on January 19, 2013, at his home in Hartville, Missouri at the age of 69.
Clinton grew up in a home where he was surrounded by love. He attended school in the Wright County area and enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on March 15, 1971. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Morrison on October 15, 1967 in Webster County, Missouri. They reared their family in the Hartville area. Clinton worked on a dairy farm owned by Carl Robertson.
Clinton enjoyed being outdoors, especially when fishing and hunting. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and always looked forward to family gatherings. Clinton’s greatest joy was his grandchildren. He loved them very much and enjoyed giving them rides on his scooter.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: Jesse Dean Ward, Lawrence Ward, and Robert Ward; two sisters: Sylvia Ward, Betty Cureton; one grandchild: Shayla Ward; and one brother-in-law: Eric Oesterreicher.
Clinton is survived by his loving wife of 45 years: Charlotte Ward of the home; two sons: Dale Ward and wife Vanessa of Hartville and Randy Ward and wife Lodonna of Sleeper; three daughters: Janet Cox and husband Jerry of Seymour, Rena` Milford and husband Tom of Marshfield, and Julinda Denton of Springfield; one step-son: Dwayne Ward and wife Tina of Lebanon; one step-daughter: Paula Yonts and husband David of Lebanon; two brothers: Jim Ward and wife Bonnie of Hartville and Leon Ward and wife Brenda of Nixa; four sisters: Lola Weaver and husband Everette of Springfield, Lois Moore and husband Charles of Phillipsburg, Lisa Dugger and husband Larry of Hartville, and Vickie Calton and husband Sonny of Hartville; a brother-in-law; James Dudley and wife Marilyn of Neosho; a sister-in-law: Wanda Oesterreicher of Falcon; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of of relatives and friends who will miss him.
