Clint Dill

April 18, 1961 — November 5, 2023

Clint Erin Dill, son of Freeman Dill and Betty (Rice) Dill Baker was born on April 18, 1961, and departed this life at his home in Mountain Grove on November 5, 2023, at the age of 62.

Clint graduated from Marshfield High School and joined the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 1985. He served with the patrol until his retirement in 2013. After retiring, Clint enjoyed working on his farm. He worked side by side with his father-in-law, Eual, for many years until the decline of Eual’s health. He loved history and antique agriculture implements. Clint was a member of the Ozarks Older Iron Club. At their shows, he enjoyed giving demonstrations with his antique baler. He loved talking about the history of the machines and how they worked.

Clint also enjoyed the time spent with the fish fry gang. They had many fun times on the creek bank grabbing and having fish fries in the milk barn. The gang always had stories to share and often pulled pranks on each other.

Clint enjoyed Halloween. Halloween consisted of a hot dog roast, haunted hay ride, and a haunted house which he created in the old barn. He loved telling the kids scary stories as he led them through the haunted house.

Clint was a fun, spirited, gentle, loving man with a heart of gold. Besides his family, farming was his greatest joy. He enjoyed working on the farm and looking after his cattle. As with all farmers, he worked long hours but loved what he was doing. He always had a project of some type going, and was ready to help out a neighbor whenever he was needed.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Clint loved and cared for his family deeply. He was the greatest grandpa a child could have.

Clint was preceded in death by his parents Freeman Dill and Betty Dill Baker, step-father, Johnie Baker, sister, Deanna Dill, brother, Kim Dill, and father-in-law, Eual Carter.

Clint is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tina Dill, his children, Josh (Jing Wang) Dill and Katie Dill, step-children, Tabetha Alsup and Larrissa (Zac) Chisum, his siblings, Pam (Jim) Fowler, Marty (Debi) Dill, Kevin (Cheryl) Dill, Melissa (John) Connole, and grandchildren, Kai, Faye, and June Dill, Hunter and Orion Garrison, Aspen and Eva Housley, and Jackson, Dylan and Grace Chisum.

Clint had many friends and his family was very dear to him. He will be missed greatly.
