Clifford Levaughn Mings, son of Lee and Wilma (Caudle) Mings, was born on April 6, 1952 in Lebanon, Missouri, and passed away suddenly on November 20, 2009 at St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri. He was 57 years old.
Clifford spent most of his life in the Columbia, Missouri area. He worked in construction and owned and operated Mings Drywall in Columbia for 20 years. Clifford moved to a family farm in Lynchburg, Missouri, where he established the Mingsville Horse Camp. Clifford enjoyed horseback riding, bluegrass music, and deer hunting. He was a member of the Evening Shade Community Church. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Clifford is survived by a son: Andrew L. Mings of Lynchburg, Missouri; two daughters: Angie Glenn of Gainsville, Texas and April Barr of Manes, Missouri; his mother: Wilma Mings of Columbia, Missouri; two brothers: Daniel Mings and Michael Mings, both of Columbia, Missouri; six sisters: Judy Lancaster, Rebecca Beary, Patricia Carl, and Laura Koster, all of Columbia, Missouri, Beverly Dickenson of Hallsville, Missouri and Deana Owen of Kingdom City, Missouri; a granddaughter: Emily Mings; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services:
Tuesday, November 24th at 2:00 PM in the Mingsville Horse Camp Arena under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.
Visitation:
Tuesday, November 24th at 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM before the service in the arena.
