Chuck Baldwin

April 19, 1954 — November 5, 2024

Manes

Charles Richard Baldwin, son of the late J.V. and Patricia (Reyes) Boggs, was born April 19, 1954, in Utah. He was taken tragically by flood waters along with his wife, Catherine Baldwin, on November 5, 2024, near Manes, Missouri, at the age of 70.

Chuck was drafted into the United States Army and stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Following his service, Chuck finished schooling, graduating with the Mountain Grove High School class of 1977. He was united in marriage to Catherine Lynn Wade on July 3, 1970. Two children, Eric and Michelle, were born to this union.

Chuck and Cathie enjoyed many years together traveling across the United States while transporting over the road in their big rig. Many great memories were made with their grandchildren as they would go on some of those hauls with them. No one knows who enjoyed it more, the kids or Chuck and Cathie.

Chuck had a big personality and lived life to the fullest. He was a master carpenter who enjoyed wood working, loud music, and grilling for his family and friends. He was always looking for the opportunity to help someone in need. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by one brother, Greg Boggs; and two brothers-in-law, David and Kevin Wade.

Chuck is survived by his children, Eric Baldwin of Collierville, Tennessee, and Michelle Bostian and husband, Bill, of Rockwell, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Coty and Ashley Bostian and Alexander and Samuel Baldwin; five sisters, Terry, Anita, Patty, Jeannette, and Nancy; one brother-in-law, Bill; one sister-in-law, Connie; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly.
