Charles Wesley Hicks

Charles Wesley Hicks, son of the late Charles Edgar and Clara Della (Brooks) Hicks, was born on December 3, 1926 in Shambaugh, Iowa, and departed this life on April 5, 2017 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri at 90 years of age.



He was united in marriage to Mildred Durbin on October 28, 1950 in Paducah, Kentucky. Two sons were born to this union. They made their home in Michigan for many years and then moved to Macomb, Missouri. Mr. Hicks worked for many years for General Motors.



Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, on October 21, 2008, one son, Michael Raymond Hicks, one brother, Homer, and two sisters, Alma and Agnes.



He is survived by one son, Doug Hicks, of Paw Paw, Michigan, five grandchildren, Kerry, Ann, Alison, Megan, Charles Joseph, and Matthew, two great-grandchildren, Sam and Katelyn, and other relatives and friends who will greatly miss him.
