Charlene Faye Owens

Charlene Faye Owens, daughter of the late Charlie and Stella (Jones) McIntosh, was born on April 2, 1935 in Mountain Grove, Missouri and departed this life on August 9, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was 79 years, 4 months, and 10 days of age.

Faye lived in Wright County her entire life. She married Georgie Owens on February 12, 1953 in Hardy, Arkansas. Three sons were born to this union.Faye was baptized on November 10, 1963 and has been a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Macomb, Missouri since that time. She was also a long time member of Mansfield and Norwood Eastern Star.

Faye was always very supportive of her boys and all of their sporting events throughout the years. She loved shopping and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. Faye dearly loved having the whole family in her home during deer season. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and her best friend and sister, Joyce Shaw. She had two very special nieces whom she adored, Arlene Magnin and Patricia Andrews.

Besides her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband: Georgie on November 13, 1998 and by one granddaughter.

She is survived by three sons: Vick Owens and his wife, Carol, of Mansfield, Missouri, Mike Owens and his wife, Angela, of Strafford, Missouri, and Lynn Owens and his wife, Vickie, also of Strafford, Missouri; one sister: Joyce Shaw of Norwood, Missouri; three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two special nieces: Arlene Magnin of Joplin, Missouri and Patricia Andrews of Lexington, Oklahoma; and many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.


Visitation: Wednesday, August 13 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the Chapel. Eastern Star service: 6:00 PM.

Funeral Service: Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Corinth Baptist Church, Macomb, Missouri.

Memorial Contributions: Corinth Baptist Church c/o the funeral home.

Burial: Thomas Cemetery
