Cecil Ralph Tinsley, son of the late Aaron Tinsley and Beulah (Williams) Tinsley, was born February 19, 1936, in Manes, Missouri, and departed this life October 28, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri following a short illness. He was 81 years, 8 months, and 9 days of age.
Cecil was raised and attended school in Manes, Missouri. He joined the Air Force in 1955 and acquired his GED while serving in the Air Force.
Cecil was united in marriage to Byril Hazel Paddock on June 22, 1956 in Minot, North Dakota. Three children were born to this union. They moved to the Mountain Grove area in 1958.
Cecil retired from Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station. He was one of the first Field and Maintenance workers to operate a mechanized grape picker in the state of Missouri.
He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling. He also took great pride in serving his country.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, his parents, and two brothers, Oris Tinsley and Bacel Tinsley.
Cecil is survived by one son, Howard Tinsley and his wife, Venessa, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, two daughters, Debbie Stinnett and her husband, Michael, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Elizabeth Snyder and her husband, James, of Smithville, Missouri, one brother, Clyde Tinsley and his wife, Annabelle, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
