Cathy Jane Stacy, a beloved friend, sister, and aunt, entered into the arms of her Savior and Lord on December 10, 2024, at her home in Elkland, Missouri.
Born on November 10, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, Cathy was the cherished daughter of Opal (Jones) and C.F. Beller. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Joe Dean, Ronald G., and Paul D. Beller.
Cathy graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas, in 1974. Shortly after, she proudly served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, honoring her country with dedication and service. Later, Cathy embarked on a long and fulfilling career with the U.S. Postal Service, serving in various positions before retiring as a Maintenance Support Clerk in 2013. Her dedication and hard work over the years were a testament to her commitment and strong work ethic.
Faith was a central part of Cathy’s life. She made a profession of faith and was baptized as a believer in the presence of her family and friends in Texas. Her unwavering belief in God shaped her character and guided her actions in every part of her life.
Cathy’s vibrant, adventurous spirit made her a source of joy and light to everyone around her. She lived life with enthusiasm and embraced each day with a sense of wonder. Whether traveling to new places, capturing the beauty of nature through photography, enjoying time in or on the water, or hiking scenic trails, Cathy’s zest for life was contagious. Her radiant smile and cheerful presence lifted the spirits of all who encountered her.
A lover of nature, Cathy took great pride in her garden. She found joy in tending to her flowers, marveling at the beauty she nurtured with her own hands. Visitors were always treated to a tour of her latest landscaping projects, and her gardens served as a beautiful reflection of her care and dedication. Even as she faced physical challenges in her later years, Cathy remained determined, often riding her scooter or lawnmower to work around the farm, tirelessly finishing projects well into the evening.
Cathy was also a devoted animal lover. She adored her feline companions—Lunabelle, Sheba, Black Cat, and Gray Cat—and took delight in spending time with them. She also enjoyed feeding treats to the horses and dog-sitting her beloved canine niece, Daisy Mae.
One of Cathy’s simple joys was her love for sweets, especially her favorite Texas Sheet Cake, lovingly baked by her boyfriend, Herb. The joy on her face as he brought it out of the oven was a testament to the special bond they shared.
One of Cathy’s favorite quotes was “Bloom where you are planted.” She truly embodied this wisdom in every aspect of her life. No matter the circumstances, Cathy had a remarkable ability to thrive and make the best of any situation. She found joy in the little things, faced challenges with resilience, and brought beauty and light to everyone around her. Her unwavering positivity and grace were a testament to her belief that we can all flourish, no matter where life places us.
Cathy's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and deep compassion. Her faith in God, her love for her family and friends, and her care for all living creatures made a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her. Her warmth and genuine kindness will be profoundly missed.
Cathy is survived by her boyfriend, Herbert D. Wood of Missouri; her brother, Fred W. Beller (Lillian) of Oklahoma; her brother, Larry W. Beller of Texas; her sister, Julie A. Fields (Larry Rutledge) of Texas; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we take comfort in the cherished memories we shared with her. We’ll hold onto her laughter, her adventurous spirit, and her boundless kindness. Though her journey on earth has ended, Cathy’s memory will live on in our hearts, inspiring us to live with courage, curiosity, and compassion.
Rest in peace, sweet Cathy. Your beautiful life and legacy will never be forgotten.
