Cathy Lynn Murray, daughter of Henry Clarence Whipple and Clara Sue Smith Whipple, was born October 14, 1971, in Mansfield, Missouri, and departed this life February 4, 2022, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 50 years, 3 months, and 20 days.
She was united in marriage to Trent Murray on May 30, 2010, in Columbia, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Cathy is survived by her mother, Sue, of Mansfield; husband, Trent of the home; three daughters, Meagan Essary and husband, Brett, of Mansfield and Miranda Brooke and Rocky Austin, of Hartville, Tatum Murray of Ava; three sons, Dylan Berry and Calista Slattery, Bret Berry and Jadalyn Keith, all of Mansfield and Tanner Murray of Havlock, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Oaklee, Carleigh, and Kynleigh; brother, Eddie Whipple and wife, Lisa of Columbia; sister, Cindy Cross of Mansfield; step-mother, Marcia Whipple; step-brother, Scott Whipple; step-sisters, Billie Jo Vogel and Cassy Shrader; parents-in-law, Norman and Linda Murray, of Ava; brother-in-law, Craig Murray and wife Rachel and family of Mansfield, sister-in-law Alissa Brown and family of Ava; her pen pal since 3rd grade, Michelle Blodgett of Lansing, Michigan; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was born and raised in Mansfield where she attended Mansfield Schools. She had been a dispatcher for Mountain Grove Police Department and Wright and Ozark County Sheriff’s Department. At the time of her passing she was employed by Court Probationary Services, where she was a probation supervisor.
Cathy made a profession of faith in Christ and was attending Cold Creek Cowboy Church.
In her spare time, Cathy spent all the time she could with her kids and grandkids. She loved them so much and would do anything she could to help them. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend.
Although she has left us far too soon, she is no longer suffering, and we have many special times together that we will always cherish.
