Carol June (Smart) Mohrbacher, daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude (Walker) Smart, was born June 28, 1946, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and passed away at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri, November 26, 2020, at 74 years of age.
She married Lee Mohrbacher on July 23, 1994, in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
Carol worked at the Brown Shoe company in Mountain Grove and Cabool from the early 80’s until the company closed. After closing, she attended Ozarks Technical College and received her certificate as a dental assistant. She was immediately employed by Cartwright Dental in Cabool, Missouri. She worked there for approximately 15 years and retired in 2006.
After retirement, Carol loved making the home, reading books, and watching movies with her husband. She had a pet parakeet, Corkey, who ate breakfast with her every morning. Corkey would sit right on her shoulder, and they would eat toast together.
She loved watching fashion shows and reading fashion magazines. She was always well-dressed and beautiful anytime she left the home, no matter where she went.
Carol loved to travel on cruises. Lee and Carol traveled to numerous states and traveled to Mexico at least once a year. Carol traveled to many other countries besides Mexico where she and other family members stayed for a week at a time.
She loved writing poetry. She was writing an autobiography about herself and her family which she had not yet finished. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved playing rummy with Stephen her grandson (who could not beat her).
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Gertrude Smart, brothers, Tom and Russell Smart, sisters, Violet Burke, Dee Lovan, and Maudine Billingsley.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Mohrbacher of Mountain Grove, Missouri, two sons, Randy Rhodes and his wife, Patricia, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Rick Jolly and his wife, Angie, of Aldrich, Missouri, and a stepson, Bryan Mohrbacher and his wife, Amy, of Lebanon, Missouri, and a stepdaughter, Sheri Chapman of Spokane, Missouri, and nine grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
