Brenda Shores

Brenda Shores, daughter of the late Dale and Fern (Holt) Melton, was born April 13, 1953, and departed this life December 26, 2021. She was 68 years, 8 months, and 13 days of age.

Brenda grew up in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and graduated with the Mountain Grove High School class of 1971. She was united in marriage to Rex Shores until 1979 and two children were born to this union.

Brenda was saved at a young age and was baptized later in life. She enjoyed spending time with her church family and friends. Brenda loved gardening and had many beautiful plants and flowers. She crocheted lovely afghan blankets which she enjoyed gifting to others. Brenda had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.

Besides her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by one brother, John Melton.

Survivors include two daughters, Kerri Jeffery and husband, Kyle, of Royse City, Texas, and Jolie Brooke and husband, Jeromy, of Mansfield, Missouri, four grandchildren, Carter Brooke, Cameron Shores and wife, Catie, Kylie Jeffery, and Kaitlyn Jeffery, one great-grandchild, Cambri Shores, one brother, Bob Melton and wife Nancy, of Gainesville, Missouri, a friend (who was more like a sister) Sheila Bell of Mansfield, Missouri, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
