Brandy Buttram

June 22, 1981 — December 30, 2021

Brandy Ann Buttram, daughter of Wayne and Peggy Coltrane, was born June 22, 1981, and entered into the gates of heaven December 30, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family.

Brandy was preceded in death by both paternal grandparents, Dwayne and JoAnn Coltrane, and her maternal step-grandfather, Ray Steich, who we know were overjoyed to have her in their arms again.

Brandy is survived by her children, Nicholas Wayne Buttram and his fiancée, Marissa, of Manes, Missouri, Scooter (Johnny Dean Jr.) Buttram and his love, Adrianna, of Hartville, Missouri, Madison SueAnn Buttram of Marshfield, Missouri, her father, Wayne Coltrane and his wife, Renee, of Hartville, Missouri, her mother, Peggy Coltrane of Hartville, Missouri, her maternal grandparents, Lee Zartman of Herndon, Pennsylvania, Audrey Steich of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, and step-grandmother, Gladys Zartman of Millersburg, Pennsylvania, two sisters, Mae Kabage and her husband, Jason, of Seymour, Missouri, and Mindy Stigall and her husband, Adam, of Hartville, Missouri, two step-sisters, Shantrail and Page Entrikin of Hartville, Missouri, and one step-brother, Ezra Entrikin of Hartville, Missouri, her nephews, Sheldon Kabage of Seymour, Missouri, Hunter Dugger of Seymour, Missouri, and Dakota Stigall of Hartville, Missouri, along with a host of other relatives from Missouri and Pennsylvania.

Brandy has lived her entire life in the Hartville/Grovespring area. Her younger years were spent in 4H where she learned that she had a gift of drawing and painting. In high school, she found her voice and loved to sing in choir as well as played the clarinet where she traveled with the band to the Kentucky Derby. Her classmates have always been a tight-knit group and remain so to this day.

Brandy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age, and was baptized at Little Creek Church, Hartville, Missouri.

Brandy loved spending time with her family and friends that she considered family. Her greatest joy was watching her children grow. She fought hard to shield them from the heartache of the world.

Brandy had a ready smile and a hug for anyone who needed it, no matter her trials. A true friend through and through. She was one of those rare people who entered your life for a moment and was impossible to forget; a ray of sunshine after a rainstorm. She will be missed by everyone who was ever blessed to meet her.
