Bonnie Fay Woods

Bonnie Woods, of Fordland, Missouri, was born on December 14, 1945, in Galloway, Missouri, to George and Alta Liles. She departed this Earth on March 12, 2025, at the age of 79.

Bonnie was a 1963 graduate of Logan-Rogersville High School. On December 15, 1963, she married the love of her life, Tom Woods, Sr., and together they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. They were blessed with four children: Tom (Brenda) Jr., Steven (Maureen), Missy, and Bobby, all of Fordland.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Tom Woods Jr., Steven Woods (Maureen), and Bobby Woods, all of Fordland; her sisters, Judy Hilmes (Ron) of Smithville, MO, and Terri Lindsey (Bruce) of Blue Springs, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom Sr.; her brother, Lloyd Liles; her sister, Patsy Moss; her beloved daughter, Missy Woods; her daughter, Marsha Glenn; and her daughter-in law, Brenda Woods.

Bonnie’s greatest happiness in life was her grandchildren—Ashley, Zach, Adam, Crissi, Josh, Emalee, Hailey, Cody, and Austin—as well as her numerous great-grandkids, all of whom she adored beyond measure. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with them, sharing stories, laughter, and love.

Bonnie was also a bargain seeker at heart, and on any given day, you could find her at a yard sale, rummaging for the best find of the day. If you ever needed something, chances were Bonnie had it— or knew exactly where to get it! Her home was always a place of warmth, welcome, and a few hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.

A celebration of Bonnie’s life is being planned, and details will be shared once finalized. Her final burial will take place at Fordland Cemetery.

Bonnie’s love, generosity, and sharp eye for a good deal will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
