Bonnie Lu Freels, daughter of the late Lowell and Celah (Coffman) Lawson, was born July 14, 1933, near Manes, Missouri, and departed this life June 17, 2019, in Springfield, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 85 years, 11 months, and 3 days of age.
Bonnie spent most of her life in the Dawson, Missouri, area. She married Raymond Reed Freels on May 12, 1951, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Three daughters were born to this union.
She worked several years as a bookkeeper for MFA and Tindle Feeds in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
Bonnie was saved and was a member of Dawson Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years.
Besides her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Junior Boykin and Dave Adams, one brother, Darrell Lawson, and one grandson, Jeremy Adams.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Reed Freels of Mountain Grove, Missouri, three daughters, Celah Boykin of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Linda Loughridge and her husband, Dale, of Bendavis, Missouri, and Barbara Adams of Mountain Grove, Missouri, six grandchildren, Daniel Boykin, Darian Boykin, Kenny Loughridge, Cheryl Richardson, Jeff Adams, and Amanda Dale, twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Lucille Lawson, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
