Bobbi Jean (Hostens) Wood, 43, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, after a long 4-year battle with heart conditions leading to other medical issues.
Bobbi was born on July 23, 1973 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Edward M. and Linda K. Hajny Hostens. She grew up in Hillsdale and East Moline, Illinois, where she attended Riverdale Schools and United Township High School, respectively. Most recently, she lived in Norwood, Missouri, where she relocated to from Colona, Illinois, after a lengthy hospital stay.
Bobbi loved spending her time scrapbooking the hundreds of photos she took of loved ones and helping friends create memorials for their loved ones. She was an avid NASCAR fan spending her weekends cheering on her favorite driver, Kyle Busch, and counting down the days until race season. She was the fun-loving aunt who always had suckers in the drawer and popsicles in the freezer. She loved her family more than she could ever express and would do anything she could for them. Bobbi was a shop-a-holic with a propensity for jewelry and forcing family members to shop with her. She was blessed enough to have a job she loved as a Provider Data Specialist for United Health Care for more than 10 years. Her continuous smile, giggly laugh, and sassiness will be tremendously missed.
She is survived by her husband, Mylon Wood, Colona, Illinois; loving parents, Linda and Roger Morgan, Norwood, Missouri; and stepmother, Shirley Hostens, Titusville, Florida; sisters, Ellanya (Mike) Seifried, North Fort Myers, Florida, her twin, Dawn Hostens Wuorinen (Ross Curtis), Bettendorf, Iowa, Jacki (Geoffrey) Barbieri, Seymour, Missouri, Brandyn Nicholson Spengler, Indianapolis, Indiana, and April Morgan (Keenan Perez); brothers, Michael Hostens, Rock Island, Illinois, Jason Hostens, Tucson, Arizona, and Bryce Hostens, Brush, Colorado, David Morgan, Rockford, Illinois, and Craig (Stacy) Price, Portsmouth, Virginia; stepdaughters, Morgan and Ryan, and stepson Ethan Wood; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; her former husband, Randy Fahrenkrog, Sarasota, Florida, former stepson, Landry Fahrenkrog, Fayetteville, North Carolina, and former stepdaughter, Faith Fahrenkrog, Davenport, Iowa; and many special friends from around the world.
She is preceded in death by her loving father, Edward Hostens, Titusville, Florida; brother, Ronald Hostens, Davenport, Iowa; grandparents, Donald and Frances Hajny, East Moline, Illinois and Clyde and Betty Hostens, Moline, Illinois.
