Robert Charles Willey was born on November 28, 1931, in Brookland, Arkansas, to parents, Elmer and Violet (Brown) Willey. He passed away on December 15, 2022, in Hartville, Missouri, at the age of 91.
Bob was born and raised around Brookland, Arkansas, and worked with his dad in the appliance repair business. He joined the Army on September 14, 1953, and was discharged on September 14, 1955.
When Bob returned from the Army, he became a mortician and worked at funeral homes in Jonesboro and Calico Rock, Arkansas. Then after several years, he began working in the electrical business. He had his own heating and air conditioning business in Mammoth Springs and Jonesboro, Arkansas. He later started working for the U.S. Department of Energy, Southwest Power Administration in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He transferred to the Springfield, Missouri, office and worked there until he retired in August 1996. He was a System Electrical Control Craftsman where he wired and serviced federal substations and the hydropower dams in this region including Table Rock, Norfork, Bull Shoals, Beaver, and many others.
After his retirement, he helped build and wire homes for his sons, Earl and Rob. Much of his time was spent with his sons, other family members, and friends hunting. He loved to duck, quail, turkey, deer, and elk hunt.
After Donna retired in 2007, they traveled by motorhome to Colorado, Wyoming, Kentucky, Arizona, Montana, Idaho, and many more states. They then began fishing at different lakes in the region, but primarily fished at Peckerwood Lake in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sandy Granneman, great-granddaughter, Oaklyn Grace Reeves, and brother-in-law, Guy Spencer.
He is survived by his spouse, Donna Moore, of the home in Hartville, Missouri, sons, Earl Willey and his wife, Kaye, of Hartville, Missouri, and Rob Willey and his wife, Stephanie, of Evening Shade, Arkansas, daughter, Debbie Breeden and her husband, Bill, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, sister, Jane Spencer of Bay, Arkansas, grandchildren, Dewayne Willey and his wife, Brandi, Angela Dyer and her husband, Carl, Sandy Willey, Darren Stapleton, Shelby Bunch, Yonna Aubuchon, Tina Epperson, and Tausha Mitchell, great-grandchildren, Ethan Anderson, Elijah Dyer, Carter Willey, and Olivia June Willey on the way, and other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss him.
