Robert “Bob” Eugene Bock, son of the late William Charles and Josephine Arlene (Wilson) Bock, was born on April 2, 1947 in Hannibal, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at his residence following a short illness. He was 61 years, 11 months and 15 days of age.
Bob grew up in the Hannibal area and attended the Ewing School. He was united in marriage to Cindy Uppinghouse on December 13, 1985 in Lagrange, Missouri. They had lived in Texas County for the past nine years.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman, especially when hunting and fishing. He enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles, attending Tractor Pulls, and admiring John Deere Tractors. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball.
Bob was known as an avid coffee drinker and enjoyed having a cup and visiting with his family and friends whenever possible.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles Bock, Harvey Bock and James Albert Bock.
He is survived by his wife: Cindy Bock of their home; one step-son: Troy Smith and his wife, Dawn, of Cabool, Missouri; one step-daughter: Crystal Kennedy and her husband, Charles Jr., of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; one brother: Johnny Bock of Durham, Missouri; four grandchildren: Jordan Smith, Dalton Kennedy, Justin Smith and Colton Kennedy; one great-grandchild: Ayden William Smith; and a host of other relative and friends who will miss him very much.

Friday, March 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Rock Springs Cemetery in Texas County.
Visitation:
Thursday, March 19, 7:00 pm - 8:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
