Bill J. “Bulldog” Lathrom was born January 26, 1953, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at the age of 65 years and 3 months.
He was buried at Green Mountain Cemetery, next to his wife, Sherry, and his mother and father, “Granny and Poppy.”
Bill lived several years in Lawrence, Kansas, where he played guitar in a band. He came back to his beloved Ozarks in 1980 with his parents. He was an avid outdoorsman all his life until failing health stopped him from walking through the woods. He loved fishing and hunting and taking care of his livestock.
Bill was also an avid CB’er: “Bulldog” was the handle he went by from his early teens on.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Myrtle (Strunk) Lathrom and by his wife, Sherry (Delcour) Lathrom.
Bill is survived by his sisters, Norma Snyder and Jean Anderson, both of Mountain Grove, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and many friends. When Norma and Jeanie told Bill, “I love you”, his response would be, “you’ll get over it!” No, Bill, that will never happen. You are so loved and so missed.
At Bill's request, no services are planned and he has been cremated.
