Beverly Ann Barnhart, daughter of the late James and Marie Humphrey, was born July 2, 1939, in Foster, Missouri. She departed this life on January 29, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 85.
Beverly grew up in Foster and graduated with the Rich Hill High School class of 1957. She was saved at an early age. Following high school, she went to Kansas City and began working for an insurance agency. She met Alvin “Barney” Barnhart on a blind date. This sparked a relationship that lead to marriage on January 27, 1962, in Rich Hill, Missouri. Three children were born to this union.
Beverly was a devoted mother and house wife who took great pride in caring for her family and keeping a clean house. She loved flower gardening. She also enjoyed reading and watching her daily soaps. She was an avid NASCAR fan and her favorite current driver was Chase Elliott. Beverly’s greatest joy was time spent with her family.
Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Heather Marie Barnhart; and one son, Alan Lee Barnhart.
Beverly is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Alvin “Barney” Barnhart; one daughter, Jerri Barnhart; five grandchildren, Kelsi, Shanda, Makayla, Connor, and Heather; ten great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Brenda Conley; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
