Beverly Ann Cantrell, daughter of Hazel (Mangan) McMahan and the late Glenwood “Woody” Eaton was born on February 8, 1944 in Ironton, Missouri and departed this life on July 5, 2007 at St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri after a long illness. She was 63 years, 4 months, and 27 days of age.
Ann was a part of an Air Force family and lived in several places growing up. She married Jerry Cantrell and to this union, five sons were born. She made her home in Success, Missouri for a time, but Graff was her home most of her life.
Ann enjoyed ‘Fish Fries’ at the creek in her earlier years, but in her later years the creek could stay where it was, just as long as you brought her the fish. She also enjoyed wild mushroom hunting with all of her family. She even had a special cat named Morris that hunted mushrooms with her.
Ann especially loved her family and friends around her. There were many special occasions, barbeques, and family gatherings that brought everyone together. Watching her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews grow up was the highlight of her life. All of the children in her life automatically had a special place in her heart whether she was Mom, Grandma, or Aunt Annie.
Her love for Christ was demonstrated through her love for others and played an important role in her friends and family coming to know the Lord. There is great peace in knowing she is with her Lord today.
Besides her father, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, and one son, Steven Dale.
Ann is survived by her mother, Hazel McHahan of Mtn. Grove; four sons: Jerry Cantrell of Springfield, Missouri, Rick Cantrell and Gregory Cantrell, both of Graff, Missouri, and Dwayne Cantrell of Drury, Missouri; one brother: Glen Eaton and his wife, Lavonda, of Mountain Grove; one sister: Judith Eaton of Troy, Missouri; two grandchildren: Katrina Prock and Justin Cantrell; and many other friends and family that will truly miss her.
