Beulah M. (Robertson) Long, daughter of the late Omar Arvall and Ruth Estella (Martin) Robertson, was born November 14, 1938, in Wright County, Missouri, and passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at her home in Hartville, Missouri, surrounded by her family. She was 83 years young.
Beulah attended Hartville schools and graduated from Hartville High School in 1956. On September 5, 1956, Beulah married the love of her life, Owen LeRoy Long, in Mansfield, Missouri, and to this union three children were born, Rod, Brenda, and Marcie. Owen and Beulah loved and took care of each other happily for 63 years and 364 days. They were one day short of celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary when Owen passed away on September 4, 2020.
Beulah was a member of the Hartville First Baptist Church. She was always involved in church activities, being a deacon's wife, and could always be counted on to help plan, cook, and serve funeral meals or any meal for the church. She would be sure to greet everyone with a smile and some of her famous homemade bread or pies! Beulah would also use her cooking talent many times at the Hartville Senior Center, cooking for the people of the community. Cooking brought Beulah a lot of joy especially, when she got to cook and serve others.
Beulah was a one-of-a-kind gem. She never met a stranger, loved everyone like her own family, and could always make you laugh. She loved quilting, was a great seamstress, could out fish any man, and was the best cook in the country! She enjoyed gardening, garage selling, traveling, and being on the go, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids, making them her famous animal pancakes. Beulah was a loving mother, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. We celebrate her wonderful life and will forever cherish the memories she helped create.
Besides her parents, and her husband, Beulah was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Delcour, and two brothers, Carl and Darrell Robertson.
Beulah is survived by her son, Rod Long and wife, Joyce, of Hartville, Missouri, a daughter, Marcie Long of Hartville, Missouri, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, seven brothers and sisters, Farris Robertson and wife, Sue, of Niangua, Missouri, Kenneth Robertson of Potosi, Missouri, Steve Robertson and wife, Sue, of Grovespring, Missouri, Bonnie Agee and husband, Chester, of Lebanon, Missouri, Beverly Hawkins and husband, Norman, of Lebanon, Missouri, Dillard Robertson and wife, Joyce, of Hartville, Missouri, and Charlie Robertson and wife, Karen, of Nashville, Arkansas, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
