Betty May Sanders, daughter of the late Grant Tunnel and Christy Trumbo, was born March 3, 1936, in Manes, Missouri, and passed away April 8, 2020, in Cabool, Missouri. She was 84 years, 1 month, and 5 days of age.
Betty married Kenneth Sanders on February 17, 1956, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She worked at Brown Shoe Factory for thirty years. She was a very good cook. She made amazing banana bread, stuffing, and cream filled cupcakes. She also enjoyed sewing, visiting with friends, reading the Bible, and telling stories. Betty was a caring and sweet Christian lady. She enjoyed laughing and truly exhibited unconditional love.
Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Sanders, on September 7, 2009.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Sanders of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Jerry Sanders of Elkland, Missouri, one daughter, Janice Gockley and her husband, Wayne, of Cabool, Missouri, six grandchildren, Rachel Harris, Brad Sanders, Steve Sanders, Brian Thompson, Russell Allison, and Nicole Smallwood, twelve great-grandchildren, a special friend, Merlene Raleigh and other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her.
