Betty Jane Sparks, daughter of the late Clell and Reba Jane (Heartwell) Creagor, was born April 14, 1943, in Cabool, Missouri, and departed this life December 23, 2018, in Montgomery, Texas. She was 75 years, 8 months, and 9 days of age.
Betty was raised near Willow Springs, Missouri. She married Dallas Ray Sparks January 16, 1961 in Douglas County, Missouri. Three children were born to this union. Betty was a homemaker for many years while raising their children. She also worked as a CNA and a Med Tech in local nursing homes for nearly forty years. Betty always enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, planting flowers and trees, fishing, and helping Dallas on the farm. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and cooking.
Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas, on January 20, 2016, two brothers, Sam and Jerry Creagor, and one sister, Anna Carson.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Sparks of Vanzant, Missouri, and Danny Sparks and his wife, Carrie, of Republic, Missouri, one daughter, Barbara Briscoe and her husband, David, of Willow Springs, Missouri, two brothers, Bill Creagor and Clifford Creagor, both of Vanzant, Missouri, three sisters, Marie Beasley and Roy of Montgomery, Texas, Linda Turner and her husband, Joe, of Upton, Wyoming, and Gloria Beasley of Montgomery, Texas, three grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Mallory Briscoe, and Emily Sparks, two great-grandchildren, Logan and Emma Smith, and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
