Berniece Helen Duke

Berniece Helen Duke, daughter of the late Floyd and Willia (Denton) Baney, was born on March 1, 1933 in Dunn, Missouri and departed this life here on earth on December 6, 2008 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. She was 75 years, 9 months and 5 days of age.
Berniece grew up and spent all her life in the Mtn. Grove Community and graduted from Cabool High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Ervin Earl Duke on September 22, 1949 in Mtn. Grove. Two children were born to this union.
She enjoyed taking care of her family and visiting with her many friends. She also enjoyed being outdoors tending to her vegetable and flower gardens each year. In her spare time she liked reading, crocheting and canning.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Earl Duke on March 13, 2007; an infant daughter: Debra Earline; and by a brother: Willard Baney.
She is survived by her son: Duane Duke and his wife, Sharon, of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; one grandson: Justin Duke and his wife, Melissa, of Cabool, Missouri; three great-grandchildren; one beloved sister: Ruby Strunk of Mtn. Grove; many nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.

Wednesday, December 10, 2:00 PM in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Burial:
Hillcrest Cemetery, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
