Barry Eugene Cain, son of the late Harold and Bonnie (Reeves) Cain, was born February 9, 1963, in Houston, Missouri. He went to heaven on February 23, 2021, at his home at the age of 58 years, 14 days.
Barry grew up in Dunn, Missouri, with his family. He graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1981. Barry started his working life at Town & Country Supermarket during high school where he got to know so many community members and made friends that he still considered his family. After one semester spent at College of the Ozarks, he came back home to work with his father at Hutchens Industries. There he added more members to his working family. After a lay off, he worked at Dairy Farmers of America in Cabool for a few years. We’ve heard many stories about more members that were added to his work family. He then went back to Hutchens Industries, where he worked until his passing.
Barry was saved several years ago and became a member of First Baptist Church in Mountain Grove, Missouri. During his time there, he was active in their Children’s Ministry. He was a helper in the Royal Ambassador program and helped with crafts during Vacation Bible School.
Barry loved woodworking and was always ready to share his love with others. Many around have something he has made in their home. He loved to hunt, fish, and shoot clay birds.
Barry was preceded in death by his father, Harold Cain, and his mother, Bonnie Cain.
He is survived by his brother, Harold Cain of Cabool, his sister, Christy Thornhill and husband, Kevin, of Mountain Grove, four nieces, and one nephew and their families, and many other family and friends.
