Barbara Jean Peacock

Barbara Jean Peacock, daughter of the late Bert and Dorothy (Lathrom) Ellis, was born on February 20, 1940 in Buhl, Idaho and departed this life on December 24, 2014 at her home in Springfield, Missouri. She was 74 years, 10 months, and 4 days of age.


Barbara was raised in the Manes and Mountain Grove, Missouri communities. She was united in marriage to Ivan Peacock in August of 1962. Two children were born to this union: Michael and Lisa.

Barbara was a good mother. She enjoyed taking care of her family, time on the computer, playing games, watching TV, listening to music, and chatting.

She worked at Wal-Mart for over 25 years, retiring in 2006. Barbara was always there for her family.Barbara was preceded in death by her parents: Bert and Dorothy Ellis.

She is survived by one son: Michael Peacock and his wife, Julie, of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter: Lisa Cochrane of Springfield, Missouri; one brother: Dean Ellis and his wife, Lela, of Manes, Missouri; one sister: Beverly Boykin, and husband, Glen, of Norwood, Missouri; five grandchildren: Brandon Peacock, Shay Cochrane, Bailey Cochrane, Allena Liveoak, and Gesea Peacock; one great-grandchild: Braydon Liveoak; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends who will miss her.
