Barbara King Cline, daughter of the late Lester and Maude (Stiles) King, was born on September 15, 1928, in Elmira, Missouri, and departed this life on October 11, 2015, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
Barbara and her family moved to Iowa when she was 3 months old. She grew up in the Jerome and Numa area. She graduated from Numa High School in 1946. Barbara was saved when she was 12 years old.
Barbara was united in marriage to Edwin Cline on January 11, 1948. Three children were born to this union: Carol Ann, Edwin Jr., and Rebekah Ruth.
Barbara worked in Centerville, Iowa until Edwin was called into the gospel ministry. From then on, Barbaras life was devoted to working in the ministry with her husband. She taught Sunday school for many years, and served in many positions in the church. She will be missed by many.
Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Edwin Cline, in October of 2013; and her three brothers: William Howard, Lester, and Delbert Lee King.
Barbara is survived by her son: Edwin Leonard Cline, Jr.; her two daughters: Carol Ann Curtis of Centerville, Iowa, and Rebekah Ruth Bujarski of Mountain Grove, Missouri; her sister: Mildred Torrey of Centerville, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Delana, Tally, Sammie, Amy, Ann, Taletha and her husband, Andrei, Jake, and Levi; seventeen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation: Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Burial: Hillcrest Cemetery
