Barb (Hicks) Scott

Barbara Sue (Hicks) Scott, daughter of the late Elbert and Ruthann (Parsons) Hicks, was born November 11, 1969, in Hartville, Missouri, and passed away August 11, 2021, at her home in Galena, Missouri. She was 51 years of age.

Barb worked many different jobs throughout her life. She worked with the carnival and enjoyed traveling to many different carnivals including the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield, Missouri, and the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, Missouri. She drove a school bus for the Manes School District for a period of time, and she also ran a karaoke service. Barb always enjoyed karaoke, knitting, fishing for catfish, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Barb has lived in many different areas throughout the Ozark hills. The area was always home, but she never stayed in one place too long. She liked to venture out, but never wanted to get too far away from her grandbabies.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Ruthann.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Perkins and John Hough, as well as many others who called her Momma Barb, numerous grandchildren who called her Memaw, many brothers and sisters, and many other extended family and friends who will miss her.
